There are a myriad of water parks and different kinds of water parks. So whether you’re looking to spend an afternoon floating along the lazy river, or searching for something a little more exciting, we’ve got some ideas!
Hence, to enjoy a classic beach holiday, book your cheap flights to Tampa around April to June (the summer season) and make sure to carry your beach wardrobe.
Adventure Island in Tampa
Adventure Island is at the top on our list of most popular aquatic parks located within Tampa Bay because it’s the largest one in the region. It has been constantly adding new features over the past few years The water park recently added a new splash pad area named Shaka Laka Shores which features 25 different ways to soak!
There are many ways to keep cool, and we like that there’s something for all ages. You can choose to chill with your kids along in the Rambling Bayou, splash in one of the play and splash areas, take a dip at one of the many pools at the park, go on the waterslides, or play tennis within the Spike Zone, there truly is something for all ages!
LEGOLAND Florida Water Park in Winter Haven
Opening daily at 11 am from June through August. The season’s hours start in August and begin at 12pm on weekdays, and 11 am on weekends.
After you’ve sweated it out at LEGOLAND then head to the rear part of the park and cool off in The LEGOLAND Florida Water Park. It is important to make sure you’ve included this experience on your ticket.
There are many water slides that are suitable for kids and even the kids who are. It isn’t LEGOLAND if there weren’t many opportunities to build with huge floating bricks while you cruise through the lazy river, or even build a LEGO-built boat in Creative Cove (pictured)!
There’s plenty you can do in LEGOLAND Florida Water Park. The youngest children can splash around and play at Duplo Splash Safari. Duplo Splash Safari and the older ones can test their awe with slide-down water slides. There’s plenty of fun with water!
TradeWinds Island Resorts STAYCATION in St. Pete Beach

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park
Nature has another treasure to offer you…Weeki Wachee Springs! See a few mermaids in live action and remember to bring your bathing suits for bath at the crystal-clear, crystalline springs at Buccaneer Bay. There’s even a slideslide along with a kiddie pool and a lazy river! Weekiwachee.com. The water park is open for the season before spring break, March 11-19. the following week, from March 20 to May 26 the slides will be open on Sundays and Saturdays. The park will reopen daily from May 27 to prepare to enjoy summer break.
SouthShore Bay Lagoon in Wimauma
The waiting is over! Hillsborough County has finally got a human-made lagoon with a water park. Southshore Bay Lagoon in Wimauma is the latest lagoon in the region which is open to not only residents but also anyone with the day pass. The lagoon offers the beach for families, a splash pad, a swim-up bars and food service paddle boarding, kayak rentals as well as an adventure course that can be swam on, and much more!
Epperson Lagoon in Wesley Chapel
If you’re in search of some peace and tranquility located in the middle of the city, put on your beachwear and sunblock and make your way to Epperson Lagoon. It is a perfect example of the Florida lifestyle with its sparkling blue waters, sandy beaches, and a variety of locations to soak up the sunshine.
The pool is located in Wesley Chapel, Epperson Lagoon is a massive 7.5-acre pool that includes an ice slide, a floating obstacle course a swim-up bar, live music, and more to make sure you enjoy an unforgettable day under the sun.
